You Don't Have To Be Too Touched

Gu Mengmeng lowered her head to look at the ground filled with corpses and frowned at Cole, while asking, "These are the food you have prepared for me?"
Cole nodded and smiled. His face of 'you don't have to be too touched' made her feel like hitting him.
"I don't eat snakes, wolves and foxes, don't you know that?" Gu Mengmeng seemed very displeased and said mockingly.
Cole seemed to be surprised and shot a questioning look at Lea. Lea nodded as a form of agreement. Cole looked at Gu Mengmeng with an enlightened expression and said, "Because of your partner's tribe, you have become this gentle even to wild beasts? But Ah Gu, if as Messenger of the Beast Deity, you do not take the lead to eat wolves and foxes, then others would not dare to offend you... In that case, there would be too many foxes and wolves wandering around without predators. In the future, it might be possible for you to see wild wolves and foxes outside of the tribe."
Gu Mengmeng choked and was speechless.
So Cole was telling that as the Messenger of the Beast Deity, if she was picky about her food, she would disrupt the natural balance in the entire Beast World?
Strangely, Gu Mengmeng thought of the Empress from the television dramas she watched in the past.
Emperor have some vegetables. They said that you have taken three bites, stop eating it.
Emperor drink some soup. They said that you have drunk too much, stop drinking it.
Emperor said, "Heh heh heh, Empress, let's sleep together."
Empress replied, "Emperor you have to focus on managing the dynasty and cannot endulge in beauties..."
Hah, even if I was the Emperor, I would not like the Empress.
Gu Mengmeng was looking at Cole now, as though she was the Emperor looking at the Empress.
He was pretending to be on the side of justice, using moral values and 'being kind for your sake' as weapons to take control every action she was taking.
This Cole had really thought of himself as Gu Mengmeng's first partner.
Did she think that Elvis was dead?
Gu Mengmeng harrumphed nonchalantly, then turned to look at Elvis and asked, "Hubby, if I don't eat wolves and foxes, would the situation that he said really happen?"
"It won't, " Elvis replied calmly and continued, "If there are too many foxes, I would give commands for the wild wolves to eat them. If there are too many wild wolves, I would give commands for the wolves to 'digest themselves internally'. As for snakes... they had been staying in the Snake King valley for the past millenium. They have their own life cycle and do not need outsiders to tell them what to do."
This outsider was clearly referring to Cole.
Lea also continued to say, "Elvis is right. After all... that Master has already awaken and the Snake Clan would naturally be ruled over by him. Even if he was not free, there was still Mengmeng the Saintess taking care of it, when would it be up to an outsider to bark?"
This was scolding Cole a dog that did not know his business better.
Elvis gave a gaze and the wild wolves immediately dragged away the wolves and foxes' corpses from the doorsteps with their mouth, clearing the area in front of the stone castle.
Even though the corpses were dragged away, the bloodstench from the ground was still very strong.
Gu Mengmeng clicked her tongue and said unhappily, "Originally, I wanted to spend the winter at Sauder this year, now that it is such a mess, with bloodstench everywhere, it's so frustrating. Let's go, let's spend winter at Saint Nazaire this year."
"Ah Gu, " Cole had not thought that the trouble he created would drive Gu Mengmeng away so he called out in panic and said, "I will clean up the place for you and ensure that there is no bloodstench. This year... you should still stay at Sauder to spend the winter. After all, there is the underground passageway here and you can still look for Sauder during winter, so that you won't be bored, isn't it?"
Gu Mengmeng looked at Cole, as though she was thinking.
Cole's eyes continued to stare at Gu Mengmeng's face, like he was someone waiting to be judged.
